Membership Of BCA And How To Join
The Beckenham Conservative Association is a voluntary organisation run entirely by local people. Our principle objective is to promote the Conservative cause and to secure the election of Conservative candidates to Parliament, the European Parliament, the Greater London Assembly and Mayor and the London Borough of Bromley.
Members’ subscriptions and fundraising events are used entirely to this end.
If you vote Conservative we hope you will join or become a supporter.

How can help?
Most of our Members merely pay a subscription, however we welcome Members who would like to get more involved in helping!
As you will see from our events’ pages there are plenty of activities to attend and in which to participate.
Campaigning
- Before and during elections we call door to door to find out how local people intend to vote. On Polling Day we call to remind those who have said they will vote Conservative that it is Election Day.
- We also campaign on local and national issues. In February we organised stalls in Beckenham, Hayes and West Wickham Town Centres and collected signatures for a referendum on the European Treaty.
- We deliver, twice a year, our In Touch newsletter, to every home in the Beckenham constituency. Each ward has its own edition packed with local news. Why not deliver your road? Good, healthy exercise which you keeps you young! Beatrice, one of our West Wickham team delivers The Grove and she is 87!
Campaigning with Beckenham Conservatives
Helping to run your local ward branch
In each of the six wards there is a Conservative branch committee which organises;
- social functions;
- gets out the In Touch;
- runs the election & other campaigns.
The number of meetings held annually varies. Some meet monthly other less frequently. They always welcome new Members and supporters who want to get involved.
Running the Beckenham Conservative Association
Members are also encouraged to help with running the Association.
- this can be by becoming an officer;
- being a member of the team who ensure that the envelopes to our 700 plus members are filled and sent out;
- helping with the catering for a social event;
- joining our central campaign team.
PS: Don’t worry if you have never done any of these things before!
Neither had we until we joined!
On the job training given!
