Mark Brock

Cllr. Mark Brock

Mark represents West Wickham Ward. He is currently a Retail Account Manager for a multi-national company and has worked in this sector for the past decade. Before this he was the owner of a Bromley Driving School for ten years. In his spare time Mark is a member of the West Wickham Safer Neighbourhood Panel, whose job it is to advise the West Wickham ward Police team about local community crime and disorder concerns, which then enables the ward Police team to decide promises and priorities which are intended to match community concerns.

Cllr. Nicholas Bennett JP

Cllr. Nicholas Bennett JP has represented West Wickham since 2006. He is Chairman of the Education, Children and Families Select Committee. His public service started with 8 years on Lewisham Council and continued as MP for Pembroke and a government minister. For the past 20 years he has been a JP sitting as a magistrate on the South West London bench. He has degrees in Philosophy and management from the Universities of London and Sussex and has been deputy head of a secondary school and Chief Executive of the Association of Consulting Engineers. He lives with his wife Ruth and two cats in Bromley. His interests include; history, transport, cinema, swimming and gardening.

Hannah Gray has been proud to represent West Wickham as a ward councillor since 2014.  She grew up in East Sussex and moved to South London over 20 years ago whilst study Singing at Trinity College of Music ultimately becoming a professional Opera Singing and TV presenter. Hannah feels passionately about giving something back to the community; particularly protecting the environment along with supporting the young and the elderly within our community. She has spent time on the Care Services PDS committee, is currently on Public Protection and Safety as well as the Fostering/Adoption Panel and was delighted to be appointed Executive Assistant to Cllr Morgan portfolio holder for Renewal and Recreation.

£7 million funding boost to tackle serious violence across London

The funding will be invested in Violence Reduction Units, which bring together organisations across local communities to tackle violent crime and address its underlying causes, as well as also funding vital local projects doing positive preventative work with children and young people

Bob Stewart celebrates success of Eat Out to Help Out scheme in Beckenham

More than 117,000 meals were claimed in Beckenham under the Government’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme, according to the latest statistics. In total, more than 100 million meals were claimed across the UK under the scheme, which ran throughout the month of August. In total, 84,700 establishments signed up to the scheme, including 89 in Beckenham
