Felicity lives in Beckenham and has worked in Programme Management for the last decade, specialising in the Financial Services sector. She previously lived abroad, working as an English Language Assistant in a secondary school in Northern France.

Aisha Cuthbert

Councillor for Shortlands & Park Langley Ward

Aisha was elected as a Councillor for Shortlands in 2018. She has worked in the housing sector for over five years in a variety of different communications and marketing roles and is currently leading the public affairs and policy activity for a central London housing association. Aisha has sat on a number of charity boards and currently sits on her local primary school board as well as the Board of Trustees of the Multi Academy Trust.

She’s a passionate advocate of women in business and politics and was one of the founders of the Conservative Young Women’s organisation and now sits on their advisory board. She also sits on the board of Women in Social Housing for Greater London which supports and encourages more women to enter and succeed in the sector.

It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that I share with you the news that Mary Cooke passed away on the morning of Friday 7th January. On Sunday 2nd January Mary suffered a sudden catastrophic heart attack at home.

Government to take over Southeastern Rail Services from 17th October

The Government have announced that as of the 17th October 2021 the Department of Transport’s “Operator of Last Resort” (OLR) will take over the management of the London Southeastern Franchise. Tickets and services will supposedly be unaffected by this change.

Councillors Secure Huge Improvements to Dangerous Road Junction

Conservative councillors for Copers Cope ward have succeeded in getting Bromley Council and TfL to improve the dangerous junction of Scott’s Lane, Bromley Road and Downsbridge Road with installation of a new mini roundabout and pedestrian crossing. There had been 14 collisions recorded there in the 5 years to June 2020.

Albemarle Road Traffic Scheme to stay for 18 months

Beckenham Conservative Councillor, Michael Tickner, has welcomed the decision of Bromley Council’s Environment Committee to continue the experimental traffic measures on Albemarle Road for another 18 months.

Bob Stewart celebrates success of Eat Out to Help Out scheme in Beckenham

More than 117,000 meals were claimed in Beckenham under the Government’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme, according to the latest statistics. In total, more than 100 million meals were claimed across the UK under the scheme, which ran throughout the month of August. In total, 84,700 establishments signed up to the scheme, including 89 in Beckenham
