Councillor for Kelsey & Eden Park ward

Peter Dean has lived in the London Borough of Bromley for over 30 years and has represented Kelsey and Eden Park as ward Councillor since 2002. Predominantly interested in Planning Peter is currently Chairman of Bromley's Development Control Committee and also sits on 2 plans sub-committees. He has also served as a school governor for the Unicorn School and Kelsey Park Sports Academy before it became Beckenham Harris. Peter is a full time civil servant and in his limited spare time plays golf to a poor standard.

Christine Harris represents Kelsey and Eden Park Ward. She is married with two grown up sons. She set up her own Accountancy business at home working around family commitments. She has always been hugely involved in the local community including 17 years as a Parent Governor and Officer of various PTA committees.

Diane has lived in the Borough since 1967. A former pupil of Balgowan Primary and Langley Park Grammar School for Girls, Diane qualified as a physiotherapist from the Royal London Hospital in 1981 and worked locally in the NHS for 27 years.

Diane brings this local knowledge and skill set to her current role as the Executive Member and Portfolio Holder for Adult Care Services including
Housing and Public Health. She is also a member of the Health and Wellbeing Board and sits as the Local Authority representative on the Bromley
CCG Governing Body meetings.

Diane was first elected to serve as a Councillor for Kelsey and Eden Park Ward in 2010 and since that time has always been keen to serve residents dealing with issues as diverse as homelessness/housing, environmental issues such as missed bin collections. parking disputes and all Council functions in between.

Council Investing £2.6 Million In Kelsey Park Works

Councillors in Beckenham have welcomed a decision by Conservative-run Bromley Council to invest £2,567,000 in improving the very popular Kelsey Park. The money will be used to replace one of the wooden footbridges and to desilt the lake in the park. The news comes as the Council also launched a new page on its website to make it easier for users of the park to keep updated on the progress made with replacing footbridge.

Councillor Challenges Southeastern on Hayes Line Carriage Reduction

Hayes & Coney Hall Ward Councillor, Thomas Turrell, has written to Southeastern Railways to challenge the operator about an apparent reduction in the number of carriages on its trains from Hayes to Charing Cross since the timetable change in December 2022.

Bob Stewart Calls for Immediate Reinstatement of Cannon Street services to prevent future London Bridge Chaos

Member of Parliament for the Beckenham constituency, Bob Stewart, has written to both the Managing Director of Southeastern Railways and the Secretary of State for Transport to call for the immediate reinstatement of the Cannon Street services from Hayes. This followed two emergency evacuations at London Bridge in January due to overcrowding.

Tennis Courts across the borough are set to receive thousands of pounds worth of investment to restore the courts, improve security and enable online bookings. This is part of a £30 million nationwide investment in improving the nations tennis courts, jointly between the Department of Culture, Media, Sport & Digital and the Lawn Tennis Association.

The Conservatives have accused Labour, Liberal Democrat and Green Assembly Members of giving the Mayor of London a blank cheque on the ULEZ Extension after they voted to amend the Mayor’s Transport Strategy, paving the way for the extension, before the results of the consultation has been published. Only the Conservative Group at City Hall voted against the move.
