Request for "Tree-Friends"

Thursday, 14 July, 2022

Bromley Council has promised residents that it will plant 5000 new trees across the Borough over the next few years.

Planting is well under way and being progressed with Kelsey and Eden Park Ward seeing a good number of requests from residents for new trees where there is an existing tree pit or grass verge.

If residents have a new tree planted either outside or near to their home then they are being encouraged to consider becoming a “Tree Friend “ and help with watering which is crucial to the early life of a new sapling and particularly in dry weather.

Please see above short video link to a video made by Councillor Aisha Cuthbert, Portfolio Holder for Sustainability, Green Services & Open Spaces.
